Red wine
The “dry” terminology says that red wine is a drink made from dark grapes by a special technology that allows the transfer of anthocyanins from the skins to the must. By the way, it is a mistake to believe that only the color of grapes sets the tone of the final product. The process of “staining” is a bit more complicated: the wort is infused with crushed grape seeds (pulp), where the fermentation process and highlighted in the color pigments and tannins. This technology allows to obtain a drink of different colors and astringency.
All this is true, but is that any way to talk about the king of wines, which truly can be considered a red wine. Red wine want to constantly sing of his many-sided tastes and shades circling the head of mankind for many centuries. This drink since time immemorial have occupied dominant positions in all kinds of feasts and festivals, and its healing properties were known long before laboratory studies.
Today, there are about 50 different types of red wines, different in taste, color and aroma. Each wine region produces its own red wine, which is considered the hallmark of the production. Most of the names are widely known: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chianti, Barolo, Barbaresco and Malbec, Tempranillo and Syrah, Shiraz, Sangiovese, Grenache, Bordeaux, and Sagrantino. But despite the diversity of the wines, the best are French Bordeaux and Burgundy wines.
If for the attainment of the tasting of science will require a lot of time and knowledge for proper feeding of red wine, just remember a few simple rules: serving temperature varies from 15 to 18 degrees (strong wine should be served at room temperature, and dessert is better cooling), the glass fills only one-third, table wine is recommended to serve to the dining table and mainly for meat.
But is this the only meat? Not at all, although the rule “red wine with dark meat” still works.
Firstly, let’s ban:
- salads with vinegar dressing, can completely ruin the taste of the drink;
- nuts “score” taste buds and not allowed to experience the diversity of taste;
- Smoking. Tobacco smoke can spoil the impression even of good wine.
The perfect dishes to red wine can safely assume that the pates, meat cooked on the grill, and any dark meat (including poultry), most cheeses and vegetables. But you are free to experiment and create their own tradition of drinking red wine. The only inviolable rule is compliance with the measures.
